Compact, portable SAR sensor and efficient mapping services
MetaSensing X-band radar sensors are completely independent, compact and portable systems which can be fitted in a small box of 30x30x30 cm3. Big and expensive sensors and aircrafts are not needed for mapping campaigns using our technology. Accurate mapping measurements can be carried out by employing small, readily available and inexpensive aircrafts, cutting the high operational costs of such campaigns.
The innovative sensors come with resolution up to the decimeter range and coverage rate which can reach 600 km squared per hour.
When compared to different technologies, MetaSensing sensors are less expensive and more versatile. This means a cheaper and faster delivery of the final results when you ask MetaSensing to do the mapping for you.
MetaSensing radar images can be directly displayed using standard geographical software such as Google Earth.

During the 5th Microwave and Radar Week MRW-2012, to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from May 21-26, MetaSensing is going to present the latest company activities in ground, airborne and space SAR fields.
EUSAR 2012, April 2012

MetaSensing will exhibit the latest products on EUSAR, one of the world's biggest conferences on Synthetic Aperture Radar. The conference is going to held place from April 23-26, 2012 in Nuremberg, Germany.
SOS project
March 2012
On Monday 12th of March, 2012, representatives of MetaSensing attended the kick off meeting for the FP7-SOS project in Rome. Various EU partners will collaborate on the SOS project. MetaSensing will closely collaborate with the Delft University of Technology on the integration of tracking algorithms for ships, aircraft and dangerous airport objects.
SnowSAR II
January 2012
MetaSensing continues to acquire data with SnowSAR system in Lapland, Finland. Airborne acquisitions over the snow are planned every two weeks over Sodankyla during the whole winter. Additional data takes over the tundra and sea ice are also scheduled.

SnowSAR

MetaSensing signed a contract for supporting the European Space Agency in the SnowSAR project. Two X and Ku band SAR sensors are being built and will be used for airborne acquisitions in Finland in March 2011.
Ocean waves

MetaSensing high resolution X-band sensors have been used for monitoring ocean waves, within the framework of a project for a Dutch company. Current's speed, wave's velocity and heigh could be retrieved.
Fully polarimetric L-band

MetaSensing has flown its new fully-polarimetric L-band SAR sensor for a foreign project. Polarimetry is an important feature for classification purposes, while the L-band is important for long temporal monitoring.
